Still using the Universal Counting Leader as my theme, I used different materials and media to recreate it. I like the final result but I think I need to be more experimental in this exercise.

Materials used: Acrylics. I did straight on animation without using the light box so I could achieve a certain randomness to each panels that I painted. After which I put the frames in AfterEffects to manipulate the final look. I know I should do that but this is experimental right??

Experimental Animation Module

Beginning winter quarter 2008, I am embarking on a special elective named "Experimental animation" which I enrolled almost immediately quite happily. The opportunity to do something that is not digital or 3-D animation is always what I am looking forward to. Speaking to a friend not recently, we have agreed that dwelling into 3D animation has beginning to take its toll on our creativity. Therefore it is time to steer away from it, not completely but at least giving it a rest for the time being. Anyway, I can't since I am still involved with a group project that is to be made entirely in Maya. Well, at least I can have the best of both worlds.

Anyway, the above pix is a simple and crudely constructed make shift shooting stand, complete with masking tape and a travel guide. My tripod is broken, that's the reason. With this setup using my webcam, I would be able to shoot my test at home instead of going to school. If necessary, I will shoot the finals at school.
